Kurt Morrow, Ventura Motorworks.

Last week, I was at a friends house, he had the new Iron Works Magazine laying around. There was an article about this fantastic panhead chopper, built be Kurt Morrow at Ventura Motorworks.

I knew, I just had to ask Kurt for some pictures to show here at the Hoodlum blog. Tjeck out the mentioned panhead and read about Kurt at the bottom of this posting.

Kurt builts classic vintage custom bikes, using genuine Harley power plants with current titles. Bikes are built with a lot of soul and with OEM and one-of custom parts. Very traditional !!!

As Kurt puts it " I'll built you a bike, that you will keep and have a lot of fun with "

More cool pictures from Kurt, later......

Dual carbs.... Vol. 1

You can make your bike stand out in a lot of ways. Dual carbs, just spells custom and racing at the same time. Tjeck out this dual 4-bolt linkert set-up.

Ooooh yeah, the need for speed !!!

My WL project

I recently traded me to this WR-replica bike. I have know this bike for years. It was built by my good friend Jens Nygaard, but got out of his hands in an unhappy divorce, then stood hidden in a garage for years. Here are just a few pictures of the bike as it looks today.

I will do some minor changes, to make the bike sort of "my own". I will put on Flanders risers, a Hellings bar, Bates seat, a short cut-down army front fender and a set of '39 floorboards. Pictures of all those changes will come later........

Like father - like son

My best friend Tom "Knuckle" Jørgensen and his son Nikolai got themselves tattoed the other day. MINDE is their middlename.

Cool looking gangsta writing. Artist: FRIIS

Tom owns several knuckleheads, both stock and choppers.

Nikolai is a semi-pro skater at the Choker Skate Team.

Lasse's Big Twin Flathead

Here some pictures of Lasse's flathead. I saw this bike for the first time many years ago, and it just seems to never change. It was built so cool the first time around, and why change the winning team....

Homemade clutch pedal a la Bates.

Paugcho ribbed kickcover and magneto.

Now resently Lasse was forced to do some changes, because short fenders and loud pipes i not allowed in Denmark, yeah that's right...In Denmark you can build an aeroplane from absolutly nothing, but you can't customize an old motorcycle or car. Hopefully the bike will look it's same old, when approved by inspections....

Snow ..............

Well, Scandinavia is not sunny California. Today came the first snow, not as much as in these pictures, but still....cold and freezing. Great to see that the tuff guys still takes the rod for a spin.
